Saint-Barthélemy is a gorgeous and friendly French Caribbean island .
It's located 17°55' North and 62°55' West, nestled between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, in the Northern Antilles Arc.
At 8 square miles, St. Barthelemy's capital is Gustavia, established during the swedish period (1748-1878).

Swimming in the transparent waters which never go below 26°C is possible all-year round.

French is the official language. English is widely spoken.
Travelling to and around St. Bart / Entry requirements:
St. Barth requires U.S. and canadian visitors to bring a valid passport and a return ticket.
All ECC citizens need a National Identity Card or a valid passport.
Other nationalities: a visa may be required.
No vaccination requirements.
Domestic pets need an International Health Certificate.
Arrival at the airport is an great experience, as pilots must drop through surrounding mountains on to a runway of only 2,048 ft. (625 m).
Ferry services to St. Maarten/Martin come and go from the harbor at Gustavia
To get around on the island, you may need to rent a car, several agencies operate at the airport, and there are others in Gustavia.
Time difference:
There is one hour ahead of New York in the winter with no difference in the summer. There is a 5 hour time difference between St. Barth and Paris.
Currency
The legal currency is the Euro. Dollars however, are accepted everywhere. Five banks and several ATM's are at your disposal on the island.

Voltage in St Barths is 220 V - 60 Hz. Most of the hotels and villas are equipped with 220 - 110v transformers.
Equipment in 50 Hz from Europe may not operate correctly.
